The literary grandmothers choose a quiet corner in their local Weatherspoons pub to discuss their narrative ideas, Mary and Joan being the authors and Joannie being the co-ordinator.
They met admirers of their ‘That Was’ range of children’s books and Mary and Joan signed copies of their work at the ‘Sir Thomas Gerard pub in Ashton.
We have been going to the Thomas Gerard for several years now. We have regular meetings here over a lovely drink and a tasty bite to eat. It is a great place for us all to meet and the staff there are very welcoming and friendly.
